A highly effective insect repellent which provides protection against mosquitos and other biting insects such as midges and gnats. The active ingredient in Mosquit-ex® was developed for military personnel to use in some of the worst insect-infested areas of the world.
Many people are prone to attack by unwelcome insects and the mosquito is one of the worst. A mosquito bite is unpleasant and painful at the least, but it can also lead to more serious and long-term illness. It can turn your dream holiday into a nightmare so it is essential that you check the latest medical recommendations for the area to which you are travelling, and follow that advice carefully. A proven, high performance and long lasting repellent is an essential part of the protection you will need.

ONE APPLICATION

When used properly (remember to shake the bottle before application) one application will repel insects for up to 12 hours. Perfect for overnight or all-day-long use, its slow-release formula helps sustain effective and continuous protection against biting insects for up to 12 hours.

SLOW RELEASE FORMULA

Mosquit-ex®s unique slow-release formulation contains 20% DEET which interferes with the mosquito's sense of smell, making it more difficult for them to find you. Mosquit-ex® releases DEET continuously for up to 12 hours. Because of this, Mosquit-ex® is able to give the same amount of protection that you would normally get from a repellant product containing much higher levels of DEET.

Mosquit-ex® is a milky-white lotion which is odourless after 2-3 minutes, non-greasy, non-sticky and invisible when applied.

MOSQUITO FACTS

Mosquitos breed on standing water and in warm weather can produce a new generation every seven days! Most fly less than a mile during their lifetime (they live between 3 and 100 days), but this can be enough to cause pain and irritation for the unlucky people who get in their way.
Only the female mosquito bites. When adult mosquitos mate, the female seeks a blood meal to obtain the protein necessary for the development of her eggs. After a blood meal is digested, the eggs are laid and the female mosquito again seeks blood to produce her second batch of eggs. Depending on her stamina and the weather, she may repeat this process many times without mating again. The male mosquito feeds on plant nectar and lives for only a short time after mating.
How do mosquitos find you? They can detect skin chemicals, skin warmth, body odour, carbon dioxide and lactic acid in you breath. They can also detect the infra-red light your body produces. DEET-containing repellents interfere with mosquitos sensitive sense of smell, making it harder for them to find you.
It is not a myth - some people are more prone to insect attack than others! Put two potential victims in a room and one may get 10 bites, another 50-100. The skin produces hundreds of different chemicals and one person's chemical ‘mix' may be more attractive to a mosquito than another's

OTHER MOSQUITO-REPELLING TIPS:

• Avoid perfumes and scented toiletries.
• Make sure windows and doors are either closed or covered with a mosquito net/screen impregnated with repellent.
• Make sure there is no still or stagnant water nearby. (Turn empty containers such as flower pots, buckets or pet bowls upside down and make sure they contain no rain or water.)
• Chlorine in pools and fish in ponds will reduce the risk of stagnation and mosquito breeding.

PerspireX

Why do we sweat?
Perspiration is a natural and essential process which regulates the body's temperature and eliminates waste products. However, for a surprising number of men and women, perspiration can become an embarrassing problem, especially during moments of stress or in hot weather!


Why does perspiration smell?
Perspiration as such does not smell regardless of which type of sweat gland it comes from. However, when the perspiration begins to decompose, which happens quite quickly, it begins to smell unpleasant and causes what we call 'body odour'.

How can Perspirex help?

PerspireX Underarm Roll-On and PerspireX Hand and Foot Lotion are both remarkably efficacious products that will provide the solution to problem wetness and odour when ordinary anti-perspirants are just not enough.

Either product needs to be used only 2 to 3 times a week for complete protection. Shower, bath and swim as usual ... your perspiration will remain under control.
Both are fragrance free, so you can continue to use your usual fragrance. Each pack is sufficient for about 2 months' regular use

How does PerspireX work?

PerspireX contains an ingredient which 'seals' the sweat glands, of which there are 25,000 in the under-arm, 50,000 in the hand and 250,000 in the foot!. The glands then remain 'sealed' and become temporarily 'inactive'.

Once you have been using the product for about 3 days, you will find wetness and odour is under control. When this has been achieved, PerspireX should be applied only 2 to 3 times a week. (Do not be tempted to use more frequently or you risk irritation).

Will PerspireX cause irritation?
PerspireX Underarm Roll-On and PerspireX Hand & Foot Lotion are both highly efficacious products. However, the ingredients that enable them to be so effective in controlling wetness and odour can sometimes cause irritation, especially if you do not follow the instructions very carefully.
As the underarms tend to be sensitive. PerspireX Underarm Roll-On has a patented formula (Patent No: 0386018) which helps to avoid irritation and staining of clothing.

The most important things you can do to avoid irritation are:-

Follow the Instructions for use very carefully

• DO NOT apply to wet/damp skin as moisture can react with the ingredients in the product and this is the main cause of irritation. (If necessary, use a hairdryer to make sure skin is completely dry before and after use)
  
• Do not use more frequently than 2 to 3 times a week,except as instructed initially
  
• Do not use for 48 hours after underarm shaving, or any other form of hair removal.
  
• Do not use any other anti-perspirant or deodorant.
  
• Stop using PerspireX immediately if you experience any irritation.
